barbie and ken meet

Oh they get me everytime! I still am a Barbie advocate over those truly heinous Bratz dolls. What is up with their googley eyes? They make me uncomfortable just looking at them. However Barbie, she's always been classy. When her dreamhouse wouldn't allow her disabled friend through the front door in her wheelchair, she recalled all of them and upgraded. Now that's what I call a real pal.

Why Can't I Live In The 60s?

Biggest dilemma of my existence! I decided to take action and do the only thing that could take me as close to living in the 60s as possible - apply for the Mad Men casting call competition. Here is my entry photo:

Here are some outtakes and accessory shots just for fun:

Thanks!

candy for days

The fair has come to town! My sister and I made the yearly pilgrimage to much dismay - the gold panning section has been removed! Aside from the 'Sips' pavilion, the only redeeming display was the sugar mountain history of candy.

I love love love vintage packaging. It was always so well thought out and appealing looking. All those happy looking characters.

mad men

You would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't absolutely LOVE this television show. Seriously. The story line, the actors, the costumes (mostly the costumes), everything about it is perfect. Now is your chance to join this dreamy cast! Everyone should be applying for this if only as an excuse to meet Don Drapper. Sigh.

If any of you read my personal style blog, you'll know that I have an affinity for anything snoopy. Anything peanuts for that matter. There is no end to the incredible snoopy treasures one can find on etsy. Here are a few of my favourite:

Snoopy Beach Fun Tunic

Mirror Wall Hanging

Sno Cone Maker

Scratch 'n' Sniff Telephone Book

Allergic to Morning Coffee Cup

isn't it all so precious?
